LlamaGen Accessibility
Last Updated February 27, 2025
As a global platform for imaginative storytelling and creative expression, LlamaGen is deeply committed to ensuring that imagination and artistic expression are accessible to all. Our mission is to create an inclusive platform that serves every user, regardless of their abilities or situation.
We're on a journey to make our platform fully accessible, following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Level AA standards. This page outlines our current accessibility features and our roadmap for future improvements.
Our Accessibility Journey
We're actively working to improve accessibility across our platform. Features marked as "Available Now" are fully implemented, while those marked "Coming Soon" are currently in development.
Current Compliance Status
The WCAG guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone. The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We've chosen Level AA as our target standard. We're working toward broad compliance with WCAG level AA standards, US Revised Section 508 Standards, and European EN 301 549 Accessibility requirements.
Screen Readers
Our platform works with popular screen readers including VoiceOver, JAWS, and NVDA. We've implemented:
- Semantic HTML structure with proper landmarks
- ARIA attributes where appropriate
- Live regions for dynamic content updates
- Screen reader announcements for important state changes
Captions
We automatically generate captions for audio and video content using AI technology, making multimedia content accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing users.
Our AI-powered captions provide a good baseline, and we're working on tools to let you edit and improve these captions for maximum accuracy.
Semantic HTML Structure
Our platform is built with proper semantic HTML elements that clearly define the structure and meaning of content:
- Proper heading hierarchy (h1-h6) for logical document structure
- Landmark regions (header, main, nav, footer) for easy navigation
- Lists for related items and proper form labeling
- Semantic buttons and links with descriptive text
Text Resizing
Our interface supports text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality:
- Responsive layouts that adapt to text size changes
- No fixed-size containers that would clip enlarged text
- Relative units (em, rem) used for text sizing
- Compatible with browser zoom and text-only zoom features
Error Identification
We've implemented accessible error handling throughout our forms and interactive elements:
- Clear error messages with specific instructions
- Error states announced to screen readers
- Visual indicators that don't rely solely on color
- Form validation with helpful correction suggestions
Mobile Accessibility
Our platform is designed to be accessible on mobile devices:
- Touch targets sized appropriately (minimum 44x44 pixels)
- Responsive design that works across device sizes
- Support for mobile screen readers (VoiceOver, TalkBack)
- Gesture alternatives for complex interactions
Keyboard Navigation
We're implementing comprehensive keyboard navigation across all pages, including:
- Logical tab order following visual layout
- Visible focus indicators
- Keyboard shortcuts for common actions
- No keyboard traps
Expected completion: Q2 2025
Alternative Text (Alt Text)
We're adding support for Alt Text
on all images. When implemented, you'll be prompted to add descriptive text when uploading images.
Expected completion: Q2 2025
Color Contrast
We're developing a High Contrast mode that will adjust text and UI elements to meet WCAG AA contrast requirements, helping users with low vision or color vision deficiencies.
Expected completion: Q3 2025
Accessibility Settings
We're building a dedicated accessibility settings panel where you'll be able to customize your experience with options like:
- Keyboard shortcuts toggle
- Notification persistence controls
- High contrast mode
- Reduced motion mode
Expected completion: Q3 2025
Our Accessibility Roadmap
We're committed to continuous improvement of our accessibility features. Here's what we're planning:
