From inspiration to creation

Make something that feels like you

  1. 1

    Pick the moment worth showing

Choose one subject or scene that honestly represents the video, then write a short supporting title.

  2. 2

    Create your visual direction

Open the AI comic creator and describe the subject, expression, background and widescreen composition you want to explore.

  3. 3

Check it at a smaller size

Review the focal subject and every word. Keep important details away from the edges and from the area where a video duration label may appear.

Make the subject the star

A face, a finished project or a key story moment gives viewers something specific to recognize. Keep it large enough to read on a small screen.

One Idea, a Whole Story

Give a few words more impact

A short title and a clear background can say more than a paragraph. Let the text add information instead of describing everything in the picture.

Build a recognizable series

A recurring palette, title position or character can connect your videos while leaving space for each episode to feel different.

A few things you might be wondering

Your questions, answered

Where does the create button lead?

It opens LlamaGen’s AI comic creator. Describe a thumbnail-inspired scene or character image there, then review the result for your video.

What makes a useful thumbnail composition?

A clear subject, a short readable title and enough contrast to separate the important parts. The image should set an accurate expectation for the video.

Should every video use the same design?

Keep a few recognizable elements, such as a palette or title style, and change the main image to match each episode. A series can feel consistent without every cover looking identical.

Can I upload the artwork to YouTube from here?

Review the final artwork and YouTube’s current thumbnail requirements, then upload your chosen file through YouTube Studio.
