Profile-specific checklist

  • Interior bleed is 0.125 inch on top, bottom and outside edges only, not at the bind side.
  • IngramSpark recommends non-bleeding text and art remain 0.5 inch from final trim on every side.
  • Color cover files use CMYK at 300 PPI; reserve the official 1.75 by 1 inch barcode area when supplying a barcode-free cover.
  • Interiors must be single-page, 1-up files. Do not submit spreads.

If IngramSpark will place the barcode, reserve a 1.75 × 1 inch clear area on the back cover. Generate the actual cover from its template tool.

The IngramSpark profile, overlay and checklist run locally and show every official source plus the last verification date. Confirm final production rules with your printer or publishing platform.

IngramSpark Comic Requirements FAQ

Production answers without the guesswork

Is this an official IngramSpark preflight?+

No. It is a free LlamaGen preparation profile based on linked IngramSpark documentation. IngramSpark remains the authority for acceptance and production.

Does this replace a printer proof?+

No. The browser tool catches measurable preparation issues, but only the selected printer can approve a production file. Always review its current template and proof.

Are my comic pages uploaded to LlamaGen?+

No. These free checks and exports run in your browser. The tools do not send artwork, filenames or page text to analytics.

Why can printer requirements change?+

Requirements can vary by binding, paper, trim size, region and production update. Every versioned profile links to its official sources and verification date.
