Profile-specific checklist

  • Add 0.125 inch bleed on every edge and keep critical content at least 0.25 inch inside trim.
  • Use 300 DPI for color artwork; 400 DPI is the stated line-art minimum and current product guidance recommends 600 DPI for black-and-white line art.
  • Uniform panel borders should sit farther from trim because small cutting variance makes uneven borders conspicuous.
  • Supply single PDF pages in reading order, not imposed printer spreads.

The PrintNinja profile, overlay and checklist run locally and show every official source plus the last verification date. Confirm final production rules with your printer or publishing platform.

PrintNinja Comic Setup FAQ

Production answers without the guesswork

Is this an official PrintNinja preflight?+

No. It is a free LlamaGen preparation profile based on linked PrintNinja documentation. PrintNinja remains the authority for acceptance and production.

Does this replace a printer proof?+

No. The browser tool catches measurable preparation issues, but only the selected printer can approve a production file. Always review its current template and proof.

Are my comic pages uploaded to LlamaGen?+

No. These free checks and exports run in your browser. The tools do not send artwork, filenames or page text to analytics.

Why can printer requirements change?+

Requirements can vary by binding, paper, trim size, region and production update. Every versioned profile links to its official sources and verification date.
