WEBTOON CANVAS Size Guide FAQ
No. It is the cited maximum preparation dimension for each uploaded image; an episode can contain multiple images.
The linked official notice says files exceeding its maximum dimensions may be sliced, reduced, recompressed, or reformatted.
Yes. WEBTOON's official guidance recommends checking size, font legibility, panel order, gutters, ghost lines, and clarity in PC and mobile previews.
WEBTOON CANVAS profile 2026-08-31
Resize down for publishing, never rebuild the only copy at 800px. A preserved master supports future platforms and edits.
Use 1,280px as the upper preparation height, then move each seam upward or downward into a safe gutter without exceeding it.
Canvas memory and JPEG size are different. Encode every output, keep each below 2 MB, and verify the episode total below 20 MB.
The official CANVAS preview guidance calls out font legibility, panel order, gutter pacing, ghost lines, and image clarity.
The official handbook is still linked from WEBTOON Academy for episode-body limits, while the separate July 2026 thumbnail article supersedes its older episode-thumbnail figure.
