A 128 by 64 sprite sheet divided into eight 32 by 32 frames, with an enlarged character showing crisp nearest-neighbor pixel edges.
Constructed utility example: a 4-column, 2-row sheet becomes eight 32 × 32 frames. Integer scaling enlarges pixel blocks without smoothing.
DIRECT ANSWER

Why use this instead of a normal image resize?

Smooth interpolation can blur pixel edges. Choose 2×, 4×, or 8× nearest-neighbor enlargement here. Keep both scaled dimensions at or below 8192 pixels: each axis is capped independently, which can change the aspect ratio and exact scaling.

A practical example

Resize the demo without blurred edges

Use a concrete input, inspect the output, and check the current limits before choosing your next step.

Example input

Use the transparent 128 × 64 demo PNG below as the source.

What to check

  1. Download the demo sheet and choose it in the resizer.
  2. Select 4×. The expected output is 512 × 256 pixels; one source pixel occupies a 4 × 4 block.
  3. Inspect diagonal edges and transparent areas, then download the PNG.

Expected output

The 4× preset produces a crisp 512 × 256 copy of this 128 × 64 source.

Current limits

The available presets are 2×, 4×, and 8×. Output width and height are each capped at 8192 pixels, so oversized inputs can lose the requested scale or proportions.

01 / WHY IT WORKS

Made for production, not just previews.

01

No blur

Nearest-neighbor enlargement keeps hard pixel edges when the chosen size stays within the output limit.

02

Integer presets

Choose 2×, 4×, or 8×. Outputs above 8192 pixels on either axis are capped, which can change the aspect ratio.

03

Local processing

Files stay in your browser and transparency remains intact.

02 / WORKFLOW

From source to clearly labeled output.

STEP 01

Upload art

Choose a PNG, WebP, or JPG sprite, icon, tile, or scene.

STEP 02

Choose a scale

Pick an integer multiplier and inspect the actual output dimensions.

STEP 03

Download PNG

Export a crisp scaled copy without smoothing.

03 / FAQ

Clear terms before you build.

Why use integer scaling?

Whole-number multiples give every source pixel the same output footprint, preventing uneven edges.

Does it preserve transparency?

Yes. Transparent PNG and WebP inputs keep their alpha channel in the PNG output.

What happens if the scaled image exceeds 8192 pixels?

Each output dimension is independently capped at 8192 pixels. That can change the aspect ratio and break exact integer scaling. Choose a smaller preset or a smaller source so both scaled dimensions stay within the limit.

Is my image uploaded?

No. Resizing runs entirely in your browser.
