AI-generated overhead photo concept of hands holding an unbranded handheld console, with a teal ranger and forest RPG clearly visible on its screen.

A closer look at handheld play

Check how the same game scene reads on a handheld screen, from the character to the smallest interface icons.

AI-generated pixel RPG town concept showing connected paths, houses, a river, and villagers beside matching terrain, building, and prop designs.

From a matching set to a complete town

Review how terrain, buildings, and props work together as an inhabited level.

AI-generated triptych of pixel-game concepts: a gardener in a cozy village, an armored courier in a castle platformer, and a robot exploring a science-fiction level.

A practical example

Follow one asset from source to export

Use a concrete input, inspect the output, and check the current limits before choosing your next step.

Illustrated 128 by 64 sprite sheet with four columns and two rows, eight separate frames, and an enlarged 32 by 32 character cell.
Constructed example: eight 32 × 32 frames in a 128 × 64 sheet. The downloadable transparent PNG uses this same grid. This illustration is not an AI generation result.

Example input

Start with the downloadable eight-frame demo, or bring artwork you have permission to use.

What to check

  1. Slice the 128 × 64 demo into eight 32 × 32 cells and review the frame order.
  2. Pack the separate frames at four columns to reconstruct a 128 × 64 atlas with JSON coordinates.
  3. Resize a copy at 4× for a 512 × 256 preview, then check your engine's texture and animation settings before import.

Expected output

A repeatable local workflow with a known source grid, explicit output dimensions, and files you can inspect.

Current limits

Local utilities transform existing artwork. Labs explores concepts, and Character Studio provides a separate structured character workflow; each output still needs review for your game.

Free for utility. Credits for generation.

Costs appear before each AI run. Review, local fixes, playable validation, PNG/JSON, and engine exports do not add another paywall. A concept preview uses 150 credits and a first-pass character build uses 300 credits, with or without a reference. New accounts start with 600 signup credits: this path uses 450 and leaves 150. Regeneration uses additional credits. Project history currently stays in this browser, so export important work as a backup.
